Where the hours go

Reading the ACORD 25, hunting endorsements, explaining a gap to a broker who already issued the cert, and assembling a board or lender packet. Minutes per file become days per quarter once the roster grows.

What the model counts

Staff time on reviews, plus follow-up time on first-pass failures. Subscription cost uses the published band for your vendor count. You can drag every assumption, including time reduction, toward a conservative number.

What it does not count

Uninsured loss, AP holds, and delayed jobs. Those are why teams buy this category. They are also too specific to pretend a slider can price them. Treat the dollar result as labor only.

Assumptions, in the open

How accurate is this calculator?
Directional. It multiplies the hours and rates you enter by a time-reduction factor you control (default 75%). Actual results depend on packet quality, renewal bunching, and how strictly you review low-confidence files. Change the sliders until the inputs look like your shop.
Why a 70% first-pass fail rate?
Subcontractor and vendor certificates often arrive missing additional-insured forms, waivers, or the right entity name. Your own rate may be lower. Drag it.
Which plan does it pick?
Free through 10 vendors, Starter through 50, Pro through 200, Business through 750, matching published pricing. If you need SSO or managed review, write to sales.
